The researcher will carry out a 3 month research project with Baseera from February to April 2015, based on a research proposal and topic of his/her choice related to socio-economic issues of Egypt’s transition. Topics could include, amongst others: social [in]justice, provision for basic needs, freedom of the press and of expression, gender issues, economic reform, access to and quality of public services, obstacles in everyday life (ie. population crisis, motherhood and child wellbeing, healthcare), etc. Alongside Baseera’s team, the researcher will contribute to the design of a questionnaire, determine the best methodology for conducting the survey, analyze the results from the nationwide poll, publish a final report incorporating statistical analysis into their research, and present their findings both in Cairo and in Madrid
